Creating An Environment Part 01


For this week I created two tiling textures that will serve the purpose of my environment.
I made a trunk texture and a ground texture.

Here are my two sculpts.


I later brought to Photoshop and painted the base colors. Then in maya I imported low resolution versions of my sculpts and added the textures and normals.



Finally I brought decimated versions of my sculpts that are lower than 1k to create the tiles in engine.



I also created materials so that the tiles can be used on flat planes and made some tiles with these materials on.
